Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this complaint due to negligent answer from Apollo Pharmacy.

I started using Ashwagandha after seeing an advertisement from TV as I was working hard on my project and felt it will help subside the pressure.

I used it for a week but never realized something is wrong until I started having full day vomiting and motions at my work place.

I was uneasy all these days but did not realize it was ashwagandha and neither on the day of vomiting and motions, I could not identify it was ashwagandha.

After a week's time, after I was clear from the illness due to dehydration, I started using Ashwagandha again and same symptoms started which I had on the day of my illness last week. Now, I identified it was Ashwagandha.


I approached doctor again and he suggested complete blood panel and found to have increased bilirbuin, which doctor suspects is due to toxic reaction to Ashwagandha and I am on treatment now.

I had to be away from work for 2 weeks due to this. I am a lifetime non-smoker and non-alcoholic. I had a complete blood check from Apollo munich as part of employee checks twice a year found perfectly fine.


I just requested the Apollo people to help me with what kind of treatment can give me faster recovery and side-effect list people should be aware of and stop immediately.

No side-effect note is available on the capsule bottle and Apollo is advertising as OTC. As it is OTC.

I hope you understand the pain I gone through and I would request proper action/justice so that others do not suffer like me.
