Complaint Details
complaint is that 30000 was deducted from my HDFC classic bank account without confirming to me at all. this was towards my credit card bill. the charges on this were in dispute. I was not called neither asked nor posted & the amount was just deducted. I had written a complaint letter to them but all they do is send me standard responses. they have not botherd to call me to resolve the case at all. below is the letter:
I had received a letter dated 8th October 2013 which reached me only on 28 October. the letter mentions about hold on funds for my credit card no. 4617872000175694.
I was told to contact Sanjay Jaiswal on 9322336310 or landline - 28569617.
when I called the cell no. some lady answered & she asked me to call the landline no. when I called the landline no. nobody was answering.
this issue is not addressed properly since last 3 months. This is defi not customer service in any manner.
I am yet to get a call back as mentioned in your last letter. I was to talk to Mr Sanjay Jaiswal which also never happened.
was told on that some Mr Deepak manages my account & will call me back,., never happened again
When i wrote on twitter i got a call back from Sangam who was not aware of the case at all. People are not even briefed abt the issue.
I need to highlight the point that I made a payment of 44000 on 1st November after waiting for reversal of financial & late payment charges. I even made a call to your customer service somewhere in Dec or Jan asking them to reverse these financial charges as I had been making regular payments through my HDFC bank account.
but this was not responded to at all neither reversed. I didn't receive a single call or intimation from your customer service regarding my issue.this is precisely why I kept ignoring the financial charges & only made payments of my purchases.
I have made the foll payments again:
21 February 2012 - 3500
13 April 2012 - 22700
20 Jun 2792
in between these payments too I have called customer service twice but yet again I never heard from them & neither the charges were reversed.
since Jun I have stopped using the credit card after asking your customer service to discontinue my credit card. but my credit card was not discontinued & again I was not intimated or called on this pending issue at all.
this critical issue was never addressed at your end.
if you check clearly I have made all payments of my purchases barring the late payment & financial charges.
I need reversal of these charges as I would not be paying any of these. I would still be ok paying financial charges till December 2012 but after that it is impossible to expect any payments.
pls revert to mE at the earliest.
I am a classic customer with HDFC since more than 4 yrs. if this matter is not resolved I would like to discontinue my bank account as well as my credit card.
