My ex-husband (Jason) and I have been separated since March 2008 and Divorced (Bifurcation) since December 2008.  I have not lived at my home 1649 Central Avenue since November of 2007 and been paying rent elsewhere.  Jason had wanted to refinance the house in his own name and we tried to do a Quit Claim but were unable due to an inability for him to refinance.  Jason has been paying all of the mortgages because of a legal agreement but has needed to obtain renters to assist in paying for the mortgage. 
  Our house was on the market since March of 2010.  We lowered the price of the mortgage from 275,000 to 225,000 and changed realtors at the beginning of the 2012 and then again in January 2013 in attempt to do a short sale. We had many showings but no offers so we decided to do a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure in June 2013. We initiated the process in June and our application took significantly more time that initially told to us by our mortgage company (60-90 days). While waiting for this process, in which we were told that the house had to be empty and broom swept, we had to remove the tenants which caused us to fall into foreclosure.
The primary problem at this point is that we have been waiting for the title since 8/19/13 (per Jarel 9/26/13) although Chris on 9/11/13 stated title order placed on 9/9/13. After not getting calls back from the woman working on the title (Angie), demanding to speak to a Supervisor, Amy notified me on 12/2/13 of 6 liens on our property.
I sent a written letter 1/4/14 asking for proof of these liens with county, cause number, lien and who the lien holder is. I have asked for a new title search, as my ex-husband has a common last name (Thomas) and I feel the liens are in error either not on our property or not the right person. I was told I would have this info within 30 days of 1/9/14 and I have only received title search showing no liens up to 2005.
This errors in the title have caused this long process to come to a halt. Please help.
