Respected Sir/Madam,

I wish to lodge a complaint against MakeMyTrip (MMT) for deficiency in service and wrongful retention of my refund.

I booked flight QP1139 on Akasa Air through MMT, Booking ID NF2AMIC665888114783, for travel on 20th November 2026[date], from Mumbai (T2) to Darbhanga

The airline rescheduled the flight from 10:35AM hours Mumbai T2 airport to 7:20AM Navi Mumbai airport, a change of over 3 hours, which entitles the passenger to a full refund under the airline's policy and DGCA CAR Section 3, Series M.

On 12 October 2026 I raised a cancellation request with MMT for Vaibhav Gupta. The MMT app displayed an expected refund credit date of 19 October 2026. Refund amount: ₹9,895.

No refund has been received. I have followed up with MMT customer care daily since 19th Oct 2026. Executives repeatedly stated the request was "pending with the airline". On several occasions calls were disconnected after I was placed on hold.

On contacting Akasa Air directly, I was informed that MMT has not submitted any cancellation request against my booking. On 23rd Oct 2026, time 12:30PM noon, an MMT executive also confirmed that the cancellation has still not been raised.

Despite repeated requests, MMT has not provided any resolution timeline. MMT charges a non-refundable convenience fee for its booking service, yet has failed to perform the basic service of forwarding my cancellation to the airline, resulting in financial loss and considerable inconvenience to me.

Relief sought:

-Immediate processing of the cancellation with Akasa Air and credit of the full refund of ₹9,895
-Refund of the convenience fee of ₹[amount], the service having not been rendered
-Compensation for the delay and mental agony, and interest on the withheld amount
-A written resolution timeline
