Complaint Details
I, Vinod, would like to narrate some of the concern which i never thought/expected i will experience with HDFC Insurance.

Policy#: 10938626, Name: Vinod Shivarao Poal, Address: #103, 3rd Main, 3rd Cross, Jyothinagar, Chandra Layout, Bangalore 560072.

I took this policy in the year Mar-2007, and first installment of premium was Rs. 200,000.00(2 lakhs), then later reduced the premium to Rs. 50,000.00(50 thousand) from Mar-2008 onwards, again premium was reduced to 10,000.00(10 thousand) from Mar-2010 onwards, and i am continuing/paying the same premium year on year, and up-to date i have paid the premium. But in the year 2010, i paid the premium amount 2 times, i.e. one on 02-Feb-2010, receipt#: ACB17869, amount of Rs. 10,000.00 by way of cash and another one on 17-Feb-2010, receipt#: A0440962, amount of Rs. 10,000.00 by way of cheque, Cheque#: 529552, dated 10-Feb-2010 drawn on HDFC Bank Limited, Bangalore. By this way as on today(Feb 2014), my total paid amount should be 350,000.00(3 lakhs, 50 thousand). But i was not happy with the fund value, to know the details, i called up customer care some where during the month of Oct-2013, and asked about my total invested/premium amount paid by me, shockly i got the reply that it is Rs. 340,000.00, but as per my records, it should be 350,000.00, later after getting all the details, i came to know that the extra premium amount of Rs. 10,000.00 which i paid during the year Feb-2010 is not taken into account, and this amount is laying in suspense account. After approaching the branch at Rajajinagar, Bangalore, i submitted the form 'Stop Payment and Reissue' to get my extra premium amount, here i was instructed to submit the form and along with cancelled cheque, i did the same during the month of Oct-2013, but after 1 month again i approached the branch to know the status of reissue/return of amount of Rs. 10,000.00 to me, but to my bad luck, i was told to submit the form again with cancelled cheque as the previous form and cancelled cheque was misplaced/lost by the branch associates(totally negligence) during the month of Nov-2013(27-Nov-2013), and instructed to check your account for return of amount of Rs. 10,000.00 after 15-20 days. Later after 20 days of wait from my end, still no sign of return of my extra amount of Rs. 10,000.00, again i approached the Rajainagar Branch and discussed the same with Gayathri P.K, Circle Head, Mobile#: 9742999979, and she instructed me to wait for 3-4 days, i waited, and approached her for the same, then i was instructed to contact Ravi, Mobile#: 9739546135, he instructed me to wait for 1-2 weeks for the return of my extra amount to my account, but so far no sign of my amount in my account, called N number of times to Ravi, but no luck of return of my amount, literally i am unhappy with the services and i have totally lost the faith with the HDFC Insurance. Again on 15-Feb-2014, i sent a mail to 1st level of escalation matrix(ravik@hdfclife.com) of grievance department, within 3 days, i was told, that i will get my amount of Rs. 10,000.00 in 3-4 days, so far, its allredy 15 days after sending the mail, no sign of getting my amount back.

Appreciate to resolve my concern at the earliest.
