Hello Respected Authority

Background:
I am 33 year old, staying at Vikhroli and possess an apartment at Royal Palms, Goregaon E in palms II building. This house has been on rent for last few years.

Problem:
For more than last 2 years my society has prohibited bachelors/ spinsters/ foreign nationals as Tenants. I along with few other likeminded neighbors tried discussing this in the last AGM from an intention to lift or relax this rule with compensating scrutiny. We however failed owing to minority in numbers as against some stubborn society members who were adamant on imposing and continuing with this restriction.
Current State:
I recently read an article on this subject in Times of India dated Mar 01, 2014. It emphasizes on Article 19(e) and Article 15 of the Indian Constitution Act implying there can be no discrimination which prohibits it on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. The article, when talking about member rights, highlights she/ he can file a police complaint, take legal recourse – such as approaching the civil or the co operative court or one can appeal to the deputy registrar of housing society concerning his grievances.
Next:
Sir / Madam, I need your help to guide me through this problem and educate me on my rights as a member of the society and more over as being a responsible citizen of this country. I feel being discriminated and more over witness this on lines of racism.
