I recently purchased a Haier LED and a few days back it started showing lines on the display. I lodged a complain to which a company tech came and checked the TV. The company tech said the TV has physical damage and so not covered under warranty. After a long argument saying physical damage is not possible and that the tech was pressing the screen continuously due to which the same could have happened for before there were only line but the picture quality was perfect and now there is no color. After lot of talking I asked them as to what needs to be done the tech asked me to shell out 22800/- just to replace the screen this just took me by shock as the TV cost was 18000/- how come they are asking me to pay 22800/- just for the part. When I complained they said this is the cost. I again argued as to how can you charge such amount when the. Product cost itself is 18000/-. The reply I got was its company policy.
I would like to officially lodge a complain with you under unfair business practices followed by Haier and cheating customers by first not agreeing to repair u/w and next asking customers to pay more than the product cost just for repairs.
