I had purchased flat in Highland Garden in 2009 and on the agreement possession date was confirmed as Dec'2010 - whereas we got the possesion late in Aug '2012 - now suddenly we have recevied letter from builder to pay the MVAT - which is 5 % of the flat value which is a huge value for us - pls advise how fair is this - kindly help to know what exactly MVAT break up is - and what exact is the charged percentage.
