Complaint Details
This complain is with regards to the Living Room located at the following address:
36, Causy Corner, L.J. Road, Near. St. Michael High School,
Mahim, Mumbai – 400 016.
We have been purchasing our home furniture from The Living Room since many years now. Recently, we bought a sofa set + table paying the full amount. The salesman over at Mahim - named "Jai" promised us that we should be getting the delivery within a few days. We needed to have this in place before the Ganpati as a lot of guests were expected
The Sofa set arrived but no table?? On calling the living room in Mahim the same salesman, Jai, started fighting with my aunt on the phone that the table is a free gift and it does not matter if they don't send it ?
He also went on to say they don't take a stock of their inventory and has no idea when we should be receiving the table for which we have duly paid in full. My aunt got fed up and told him this is not the kind of service expected from a notable firm like the living room.
To our horror, Jai started abusing my aunt over the phone. Not only this, he called up a few times later and started hurling more abuses.
The reason I am posting this is to let the consumers and common man be aware of the what is going on in such reputed stores. Such pathetic service from Living Room was totally unexpected. We were to buy more furniture from here for our other rooms + a second house but that will never happen now.
Calls to the Manager at the same store have gone unanswered. I plan to raise issue in other consumer complaints forums and file a legal complaint against the Living Room as well as the Salesman (Jai) for having no decency to talk to ladies and elders.
Recruiting such illiterate people at a store who have not even been taught basic manners of addressing customers just shows the culture and caliber of the Living Room - You just lost some very old customers and just created a very bad reputation for yourself among your clients.
