Complaint Details
Few months months back tiling work had been done on platform numbers 2 and 3 of Kandivli station (Mumbai Suburban).

However the quality of tiles is very poor and broken tiles have been used for work. Possibly even second hand rejected and sub standard material been used. Neither has leveling been done nor tiles laid been aligned properly. Job carried out by contractor is shabbily done and top of it railway authorities too who are responsible for quality check. We are not sure who is the contractor, how much has been paid or who approved of such a contractor for the job. Have personally observed commuter slipping from train while alighting(luckily no major accident taken place) on the platform due to uneven and broken platform edge.

Have written and sent text messages to concern authorities but all in vain.

Ideally the work should be redone with better material by good contractor. Would request the concerned authorities to kindly look into it, book the culprits those who are responsible for this kind of mess and bring shame to an esteemed organisation like Indian Railway.
