Sir,
Lodha builders have sent a notice on demand of MVAT on my Flat at Lodha Paradise. The letter which was received on end of september 2012 mentioned about deadline of 15th Oct for payment and penalty with interest if delayed beyond 31st Oct. Important points:
1) There is no real breakup of amount of payment
2) No confirmation about the amount already been paid by builder to government.

In such a case how can the builder ask for the payment until and unless he has paid the dues which are applicable to builder. Can I demand an acknowledgement of payment by the builder. Whats the gaurantee that the amount he is demanding is actually he is paying the government. Please guide.
