I booked 3 tickets for Maattraan movie at AGS Cinemas via BookMyShow online ticket booking (http://in.bookmyshow.com/). The movie is produced by AGS Cinemas itself. The movie tickets can be priced at a maximum of only Rs.120 in Chennai. To get higher profit at the opening week, they bundled ticket + combo (which has a small pop-corn and small soft drinks) and priced it at Rs. 200. So I purchased booked 3 tickets online for Rs. 600.
When we went to theatre, we were told that the combo comes with pop-corn and only Coke and not any other soft drinks. But, this wasn’t mentioned during our reservation. The normal combo at their theatre doesn’t have such a rule. While checking with the theatre managers, they didn’t give a proper response and told us to take any action. Is it right to force a customer to drink a particular product against what was marketed online? Could any action be taken against the management?
