Complaint Details
I am using Airtel Broadband with Landline for last 1.6 Yrs now in Mumbai, and also have 6 other Airtel Postpaid Mobile/Broadband connections in my family.

For last 2 & half months my landline was not working, for which i had called customer care department twice in Aug for complaint, but due to their system not working at that time my complaint was not taken then. I had requested the customer support executive to plz update the complaint once their system is up for which they replied they will do it.

I called them again on 12th Sept 2012 asking them for the status of fixing the issue, for which their executive replied that they don't have such complaint in their system & they will take the complaint then & surprisingly i got the message with the complaint no. on 12th Sept 2012. I did a lot of follow up with their customer support team as well as with the escalation managers Jasbeer Kaur & Sushil Kumar for fixing this issue ASAP.

12th Oct 2012, my landline as well as my internet connection got fixed & their technician also came and checked.

All these months i have been paying the rent inspite of my connection not working. This month i did not pay the rent as i got bugged cauz the connection wuz not working for last 2 & half months now. When i called their customer care department & spoke to their escalation manager Mr. Sushil Kumar for waiving of the 2 & half month rent as it wuz not working, Mr Sushil replied that he can only give me waiver from 12th Sept till 12th Oct 2012 & not before that as their is no complaint registered for the same before that, inspite of me calling twice & their systems were down or slow.

This is very disappointing, I am using Airtel connections (have 6 Connections) for last 15 years now, & this is the kind of response i get from them.

Oct 15 - Update - I got call from Rahul (Escalation Manager Airtel - National Escalation Team - 9717894567), he also is not able to solve my problem & when asked he was not aware of the entire issue also. I had requested him to escalate this to his next level escalation manager & arrange a call back by EOD.....

Oct 15 - update - Got call from Mr. Rahul again - he has again taken down my complaint for the waiver & gave me a new complaint no.23397090.... expected resolution date & revert from them will be by 19th Oct 2012...

Oct 19 - i have called the airtel customer care again today to find out the resolution for the complaint no. 23397090 & to my surprise they have closed the complaint w/o even giving the resolution for the same... this was wiered.... wat should i call your company now... Airtel is fraud & cheat their customers

Oct 25 - Called twice on 02240030143 to speak to Mr. Shantanu for the resolution which was supposed to be done by 23rd oct 2012 but could not connect to him on first call, called again second time & luckily got connected to him directly..... but no resolution to waive off my 2 & half months rental for service not working. Mr. Shantanu asked me to send this mail on appellate.abc@in.airtel.com & wait for the resolution with in 24hrs.

This is the last time i am trying for positive resolution from Airtel, if this time i don't get a positive resolution from Airtel... i will make sure that i post this on every social platforms & let others know about the airtel service, also file a case in consumer court for the kind of customer service i have received from Airtel & kind of harassment which i have been facing for last 2 & half months & would definitely ask for compensation for the same.
