Complaint Details
I had to shift from delhi to bathinda (Punjab). So I contacted ujjawal india packers and movers for shifting the following -
2 cartoons of my books
1 career 1.5 tonn air conditioner
1 lg 180 litres refrigerator
1 hero honda splendor motorcycle
I talked with mr. Ajit chaudhry of ujjawal india packers and movers who assured me that my consignment (consignment number 105) would reach me within 5 days of pick up. We agreed at the amount of rs 5000 for shifting. On 26/9/2012, my consignment was picked up by ujjawal india packers and movers, and I paid them rs 3000 as advance. After that, I have not received it till now after 36 days. I've been constantly trying to contact mr chaudhry (on his phone number - 9811760123). He never picks up my phone. However, when I try to call him from some other number unknown to him and ask him to deliver my consignment, he makes excuses like he'LL deliver it in a day or 2. I am preparing for punjab pcs exam scheduled in end of november and all my books are in the consignment lying with mr. Chaudhry. But even after constant request to him explaining my urgent need for the books, he does not send it and my consignment is still lying with him. Few days ago, I even asked him to either send my consignment by train or any separate vehicle by taking additional charges, to which he agreed. But after waiting for few days, I have still not received my consignment. Due to mr chaudhry's irresponsible attitude, I am suffering a lot both mentally as well as in terms of my preperation for the punjab pcs exam as I dont have any material with me to study. Kindly register my complaint so that mr. Chaudhry gets punished for his careless attitude and for taking consumers for granted , and is deterred from doing the same in future. Thanks
