Complaint Details
I have Purchase Sony LCD 40EX 400 on 26/11/2010. During warranty period the mother board of TV was found faulty & was repaired by local service centre inspite of our request to replace the mother board with a new one. But Sony service centre assured that these mother board will now give no problem & in case something is there they will take care. After 11 months 0n 19/11/12 the same type of problem was observed & on complaint the sony technician informed the mother board is faulty & took for repair. After 3 days he brought the repaired Mb but to his surprise it didnot work. He informed his seniors who told him to tell that mother board now needs replacement & we will have to incurr an expenditure of Rs 8000/-.
The matter was taken up with sony thru mails & tel But there is no redressal.
There seems to be nexus between Co & service centres to exploit customers.
A Co like sony manufacturing such substandard products & then giving the service in hands of local people is tottally unacceptable.
I have refused to pay any charges & have asked for free replacement from Sony.
I have also advised sony to check mother boards of this model & recall all such TVs.
