Complaint Details
My second mail:
I booked two air tickets on 19th November,2012. I travelled mumbai to Kolkata on 20th November on 9W-615 flight. The flight fare I paid was INR 10,483.00.
My return flight was on 21st November on 9W-624 which I cancelled through jet airways customer care call centre 3 hours prior to departure. The return flight fare I paid was INR 21,096.00. Jet airways confirmed me during the time of cancellation that the deduction they charged was INR 788.00 and my legitimate refund would be INR (21,096.00- 788.00- 250.00)= INR 20,058.00 as confirmed by jet airways. I was told & confirmed by Jet airways that makemytrip.com will deduct a service charge of INR 250.00 and the net refundable amount to me would be INR 20,058.00.
But I am very sorry to say that I have received only INR 8,491.00. I have called your customer care unit and they told me that I must get the balance amount with in 28th November,2012. but unfortunately no refund is made till date. It is very unexpected and unlawful for an organization like yours that you are not refunding the exact amount to your valued passengers at first time. I am very much shocked by this kind of response from makemytrip. I hope you will soon respond to me with my legitimate balance refund amount (INR 20,058.00 - INR 8,491.00) = 11,567.00.
Now most surprising and shocking thing is that you are asking me now on 8th December (after three weeks) to get a stamped document from jet airways which I strongly believe is inappropriate unprofessional and reflect your unwillingness to refund me my legitimate refundable amount. In this Eticket booking systems in India or international aviation industry everything is being done on call centre and cancellation and refund systems are also being done on call centre & online through your websites. Now this is the limit. It's completely your duty and moral responsibility to get my refund from jet airways. I spoke to Jet Airways customer care unit just now ( the name of the Jet airways staff is KHUSHBU)and they again confirmed me that Jet airways only deducted INR 788 and the balance amount INR 20308 they have refunded to makemytrip. I now completely understanding that you are intentionally harassing me.my legitimate balance refund is (20308-250-8491)=11567.00INR. Please refund me the same with out any more nonsense and duplicitous representation. Unfortunately you are harassing me for last three weeks now I have no more patients If you do not refund my balance amount then with out any option left I have to seek legal and media support to get my legal balance refund from you. Thank you.

My third mail to Makemytrip:
Dear Makemytrip.com,
I also regret to inform you that you are actually doing this to your customers. You are intentionally harassing the customers. From the beginning you are misguiding. First in the Ticket cancellation note with the refund was wrong (please see the attached file). My Kolkata -Mumbai flight fare was INR 21,096.00 and you have deducted INR 23202.00. This is just unbelievable and amazing!!!!!!!!!. how can you do this???? Even after raising the complain, you are not being able to take up this matter with Jet airways from last three weeks.Then your explanations are wrong always. You are a travel agent mediator between me & Jet airways and you are charging INR 250.00 from me as a service charge and you are supposed to get my proper refund from Jet airways and settle customer grievances. When I am talking to Jet airways staffs they are saying that they have only deducted INR 788.00 and balance INR 20308.00 they have refunded to makemytrip since last three weeks. When I am conveying the same to you with several mails and contacting your staffs via phone, you are not being able to resolve the issue and make my legitimate refund. After three weeks you are asking me to get a stamped documents from jet airways. I strongly believe that you are not being transparent and hiding your dubious activities in this regard. when you are charging me 250.00 INR as service charge and you are deemed to be mediator between me & jet airways then you should not ask me to get a stamped documents from them. Whether I get a stamped document from Jet or not is secondary matter. The primary matter of concern is what you are doing, your motive and your moral responsibilities towards valued customers?? However I got several confirmation from Jet airways that they have only deducted INR 788 and balance amount INR 20308.00 they have refunded to you. I spoke to your Call center representative today and he was not being able to convey the status properly but at the same time JET airways has always told me the same thing and I don't have any doubt with Jet airways. I am sure that JET had refunded the right balance amount to you. If you have real intention to give me my proper balance refund and if you are not really into any fraudulence then please provide me the Stamped documents of refund amount given by Jet airways to you. Please make these things crystal clear and transparent. Please refund me my balance INR 11567.00 with out any further delay.

Dear Makemytrip.com,
Please find herewith the attached the scanned copy of the stamped document from Jet airways. they have given me the stamped documents mentioning the charges deducted by them which is INR 788.00. Ticket fare from Kolkata to Mumbai I paid was INR 21,096.00. Now after all the deduction I should get my legal balance ( 21,096.00 - 788.00- 250)= INR 20058.00. Your inappropriate unjustified & illegal refund has been made to me so far INR 8491.00. So please make the balance refund = (INR 20058.00- INR 8491)=INR 11567.00. You have harassed me enough from last one month. now please refund me my legitimate money.
