With reference to the above mentioned subject, I regret to inform you that I had subscribed for DNA newspaper for 2 years and I received only one year coupon. There were 2 schemes i.e. Rs.199 for 1 year subscription and Rs.299 for 2 year subscription which was available in August, 2010.. I immediately subscribed for 2 year subscription by paying Rs.299. The details of which are given below:-

I had subscribed 2 years for Rs.299 scheme vide Cheque No. 00600653 dt 23.08.2010 drawn on Canara Bank, Chembur Main Branch.

I received 1 year coupon. After one year, I used to get my paper from vendor for another 6 months. All of a sudden, I asked me my coupon for pending months. I told I have not yet received the same. Then he gave me a DNA Newspaper’s representative No.. I contacted the representative Mr. Hemant of Chembur area and he advised me to contact customer care at Tel.No.022-43888108, but despite several attempt, nobody on the other side picking up the phone. Hence I am compelled to write this letter via e-mail. The customer care executive told that it is only for 1 year. I feel cheated and misrepresented by the reputed company like DNA newspaper. I made several communication, but they failed to redress my grievance my sending the remaining coupon of 1 year.

It is clearly an unfair trade practice and as a newspaper industry, they feel that they are not accountable to anybody. Hence I am compelled to write to you.

This kind of unfair trade practice can be avoided if there is mechanism for such scheme which should be registered with consumer forum or any regulatory body as we consumer have to suffer. There are similar complaint of non-receipt of 2nd year subscription available at google.com by searching “DNA coupon complaint” , DNA newspaper complaint etc. as I am only one victim, there are several people who get duped by DNA Newspapers.
