Complaint Details
I bought a Chevrolet Cruze AT car on 30th October 2010. The car has done a total of 1500 kilometers till date and has a perfect service record. My earlier complaint which Akosha helped to get resolved was due to the tyres on the car which were accepted to be defective by the Company and all the 4 tyres were changed by the Company. (Thanks to the Akosha team) Now, around 2 weeks back, my car stopped going forward in the 'Drive' mode i.e. the car stopped running. It was starting, going in reverse but not going forward. I was stuck around 25 kms away from my home from where I arranged a crane to move the car to Autovikas Moti Nagar where the car has been standing since the last 2 weeks. As per the communication by the AutoVikas people the car's gearbox has gone bad and also a couple of shockers have gone bad. My question is the quality of this vehicle worth 15 lakhs sold to me. In just 17500 kms of operations, all 4 tyres have been replaced (worth Rs. 40000), gearbox is supposed to be replaced (worth Rs. 500000), shockers are supposed to be replaced (worth Rs. maybe 50000) (though under warranty) My plight is that how can a car worth 15 lakhs have parts replaced worth 7 lakhs in just 2 years??? Is this the quality GM is offering in India???? I want a replacement for my car as the car given to me was with serious defects in the first place. Please help. Regards Ashish Khetarpal
