Dear Sir,





Subj: Oil change done or not. Car Registration Nbr MH-02-CH-1299.




I am owning a Maruti Swift ZDI which underwent a 3rd free servicing at Sai Service Mumbai Andheri East on 06th Jan 13.

As per the norms an oil change is mandatory which was done at 8640 Kms. The same was charged at 3410/- Rs including taxes.

As per the bill the invoice nbr S/R M -559667 & P O Nbr A2-M-13056/06/01/13

1.3 Liters of 99999M05W40-SHLMGDO(5W40) SHE oil was put in the car.




On checking the oil dip stick just before leaving the service center premise's .I was shocked to see that the color of the oil

was dark black. It is the same color that i used to see regularly before the service.




I enquired with the service station on the same and was told that in Diesel cars even after an oil change after the first crank

the engine colour changes immediately to black.




Would request your expertise on the above as i am not very convinced if that can happen. How is it possible that 3.1 litres

of engine oil immediately changes its color and property to black within one crank start.




To further substantiate my claim I have checked with my friends who own a swift VDI and get there cars serviced at Vitesse & Spectra Motors,

they mentioned that the color of the oil is clear after they change the same.




I have a feeling that only a oil top was done in my car and not a complete oil change despite I being charged for 3.1 liters of oil.




Would request your kind self to please guide me on the same. I am not at all convinced with the explanation being given by Sai Service Andheri.

I will not hesitate to take this forward to online forums and consumer court as i feel either there is a technical glitch with Maruti Suzuki ZDI car engine

or something else at Sai Service, that the oil changes color immediately to black after an oil change.
