Complaint Details
I was using my Mobile number 9930342889 since three years. I use the mentioned number professinally and my number is well distributed amongst
many callers including boundries beyond India. On 26th Jan 2013 I have bought a new mobile for which micro sim was required. I approached Vodafone
gallery, LBS Marg, Mulund west, Mumbai and surprisingly I found the details of some X person against my number. I insisted Ayesha Shaikh, a sales
representative at Vodafone counter to rectify the mistake in their Database. I bluntly got a response that it cannot be done. I pleaded them for
the same but my all the request were not heared. I have taken their acknowledgement in writing that there was a mistake in the database and they
cannot update the details (my details) agaist my number.
Being helpless I have to buy a new postpaid connection, a scheme was "199 mein do sim card" I have Paid 199 and bought the sim card. I Immediately
started using my new number as i had no options left. On 28 Jan 2013, i get a call on vodafone stating that "On special request vodafone can provide
me my old number". I have provided them all the documents required but i was given a condition that, untill and unless i donot activate my both the
sim sard my old number cannot be started. I knew that there was no connection and link between my new connection and my old connection still i accepted
their statement. I called at vodafone call center and narratted the entire episode, the phone guy was helpful and my old number was started imidiately.
i again went to Vodafone gallery to deactivate the vodafone number which i have helplessly bought, but they again staright away denied and compelled
me to use the number for three months.
I strongly believe that i am cheated, there was no special requested, rather they have fooled me to buy a post paid connection.
I strongly believe that they have sold me thier product in a method called as FRAUD.
They are denying a service to cancel the Vodafone connection which i had not willingly bought, rather was compelled or forced to buy
by not giving me any other option.
