Complaint Details
Today, I have received one sms stating some online transaction been made with some hotel in US. Immediately I received another SMS staing the transaction has been reversed. I dialed ICICI customer helpdesk and stated the whole story. They passed the information that the card has been used online and there is no tracking on making online transaction in foreign currency. When I asked for how can we prevent this happening again, they said the only way this can be prevented is start using chip based credit card with some amount of fee for about Rs.5000/-. And alternate they have suggested is the re-issue of card but there is no guarantee that it can be prevented from fraud. They kept on pressing to put request against the chip based card. If the Chip based card has been made mandatory in free of cost why the Banks are pressing customer to have it against fee.
