Complaint Details
My mobile 9940230540 was deactivated by Airtel citing a non usage clause. I am an NRI, kept my phone switched off as I am in Saudi Arabia now. I was assured that on checking the validity that I was safe and I was not made aware of the non usage clause while I checked for the validity over the SMS. Without educating the consumer how can one implement such absurd rules such as non usage clause. And I just want them to revive my number which I held for around past 10 years. Nothing else, I don't want my balance let them keep it and just revive my number and I would make sure now as I am educated now about the non usage clause I will try to use it to retain my number inspite of the exhorbitant International roaming Rs. 100 per min. I just need my number back, how can there be no second chance for a number I was holding for around 10 years time? Can anybody help. I have attached all the correspondence with Airtel for your kind perusal.
