Complaint Details
I had purchased new Whirlpool Refrigerator on 26th Aug 2012 from Next Retail Shop, Bengaluru. When the Item was delivered, i found a physical damage behind the refrigerator. Hence I had called the customer care and they had asked me to provide the purchase bill and related documents. From that time onwards my experience with Whirlpool remained very bad. Please look into the points below.
1.Engineer visited and collected the copy of bill.
2.After that it took nearly a month to replace the refrigerator.
3.I was told by the delivery boy that whirlpool engineer will visit our house for installation of the refrigerator.
4.Engineer never visited nor called. Hence I switched on the device after waiting for 10 days.
5.When I opened the refrigerator, I found it in very bad condition. There were dirt and stains on back side and also inside the refrigerator.
6.Also I could hear some sort of sounds coming out from the refrigerator while running. Hence I had called customer care again and logged a call (SR Number: BG1112018796)
7.After this I received a call from an Engineer “David” and was told that he is coming to check the device. Due to this I had to leave my office early, but he dint turned out.
8.Next day I had to cancel all my plans and was waiting for him, still he dint turned out.
9.On 3rd Dec 2012, I received an SMS which says “Dear Customer your call has been updated in our system as Call Cancelled by customer. In case of any dispute pls dial call center #######”
10.After that I had to go out of station hence couldn’t follow up with this nagging issue.
11. I called customer care again on 14th Dec 2012 and received a new service request (SR number: BG1212007444)12. An Engineer visited on 15th Dec 2012 and said that he is going to update somewhere in the companies portal ticketing system. I am not sure exactly what he said.13. Again today 19th Dec 2012, one more engineer visited and said that this device came like this from company itself and will replace the device.

Finally I have received the replacement for my refrigerator 22nd Dec 2012 arround 9:30am, surprisingly this time also they have delivered a damaged piece. Person who came for the delivery have told me that once again he will replace the refrigerator.

I sent mail to whirlpool for a refund of the ammount of 13,900/-, on next day i got responce from kavita (Care Manager, Whirlpool) below is is the mail.

Greeting of the day!!!!


We would like to inform you that we will process for refund it will take 30 working days.

but still proper responce from them.
Please help me on this issue.
