Complaint Details
Hello Sir,
Regarding PNR WMV9LQ with Indigo Airline. (From Bangalore to Kolkata and return).
I booked corporate booking for veg meals for which airline charged me Rs. 240. And as per the menu card for veg meals, any menu is for Rs.170 and with that we can have beverages. I added the cost of one menu and one beverage and it was not crossing in any way Rs.240. The max it was coming to Rs.230.
I took Sandwich and a coke for which total price is coming to Rs.220 (170+50). Here I paid Rs.20 more.
Now my concern is, when i booked meals online then WHY I WAS CHARGED MORE?
Second - when I demanded for Veg Biryani (as per menu given in flight), the air hostesses said that its just got over. Than I was forced to eat sandwich as my dinner and due to not having proper meals I have gas problem and I suffered throughout the journey.
When i am booking my meals online and still i am not getting the meals as per the menu then what is the use of booking the meals online? That to airline is charging me more. This is ridiculous.
Third - when someone has done corporate booking for meals then meals should be served first to those passengers before serving to other passengers who will buy meals on board, so that before stocks gets over, the corporate booking passengers get what they want. The competitor airline does the same.
Since I am frequent flyer I can compare the services.
When passengers are doing online booking for meals then airline get the idea as how many meals are required for the trip, then how come you say that there is no stock for meals. THEN WHAT IS THE USE OF MAKING ONLINE BOOKING FOR FOOD.
I also gave my feedback on board in written but I guess that was thrown in dustbin, because I did not hear from them in another 3-4 days.
Then I wrote email to the Indigo and they responded to it and they offered me that they will provide me free meals when I will travel next time with Indigo. I rejected this offer and I demanded that my one side total fare should be returned because I the journey was not comfortable and I had to face some problem during journey. The airline said that they cannot help me further on this.
I need your kind support to charge the airline with penalty.
Now when rejected to pay the penalty, I would request you to kindly take some strong action like the case shown in the below link, so that the airline will learn some lesson.
