Hi, I am Vikalp Maheshwari. I have booked a flat in Amrapali Hanging Garden which the builder has cancelled. I would like to make a group so that we can fight against the builder together. Subject: Amrapali/Baseline Infrastructure
Reply: This will be a fit case to take up under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, against the builder, demanding execution of the agreement as well as seeking possession of the flat when the bukilding is ready, on the same agreed rate/consideration. The Right to Information Act, 2005 can be put to good use for seeking details about the layout plans and the details of application filed with the concerned authorities by the builder for the proposed construction and also for what is the reason for the delay in granting aproval, by the said authorities. On the basis of the information that may be received, the complainant can decide to ask for refund instad, with the compensation and interest and cost.
