Purchased FIAT Linea Emotion(PK)Diesel on 09 Mar,2010;Eng No.0064549,Chasis No.MCA1107170905078BNZ.Regn No.PB10CU7316. In the first week of Feb,2013, the sensor on the console regarding ABS failure started switched on.The car was taken to the dealer, the mechanics rmoved the battery an d cleaned all the sensors and put it on road. Within a week, the sensors of ABS and handbrake started glowing again.I was told in the workshop that ABS Pump is defective and I have to spend Rs.40,000.00 to get it replaced as I donot have extended insurance.I lodged two complaints with FIAT Co on their website to find out the cause as to why ABS Pump failed within three years of use but there is no response. On 25Feb,2013 the car battery got drained due to short circutting by the ABS Pump.The car was towed to the workshop by FIAT Helpline. The workshop removed the Fuze connecting the ABS Pump and put the car on road. Now I am driving the car with warning signs of hand-brake & ABS failure on.
As per dealer the ABS Pump will be removed and send to Pune factory to find out the cause and there is no time frame for this, meanwhile the car will remain off-road for an unknown period.The Co is not responding and I am suffering either way, if I continue driving with defective braking system,I can meet with a accident or I remain immobile for an indefinite period or I pay through my nose to repair a manufacturing defect. Please help.
