Complaint Details
had a confirmed booking for DELUXE ROOM for March 11, 2013 in HOTEL TOURIST vide booking ID 26423474 thru travel portal M/s Agoda.com. I arrived at the Hotel Front Desk at 3:40 PM I.S.T. But to my horror, room was refused by Hotel Manager Mr Manoj, claiming that M/s Agoda has paid them less amount required for Deluxe Room. They were ready to offer a cheaper quality Standard Room. Mr Manoj even told me that I was FREE to leave the hotel, if standard room is not acceptable to me and I may contact M/s Agoda for refunds if any. When I asked them to struck down the entry in their Guest Register, he relented and allowed me Deluxe Room at 5 PM. It seems that the front office staff had specific instructions from Mr Manoj, as their tone too was rude and HUMILIATING. I was made to feel that I was a BEGGAR there. All this time Mr Manoj continued lecturing me that Agoda has made this booking at a much cheaper rate and he is not BOUND by the bookings made at AGODA.
It is pertinent to mention here that I had another booking for this property on Feb 11, 2013 vide booking ID 26481069. That time front office staff had well honoured the voucher issued by AGODA and allotted a deluxe room without any hesitation.
So, under these circumstances, I hereby caution all concerned that they may avoid this hotel.
Such Hotel must be BLACK LISTED for humiliating the guests.
