I purchased a no. from reliance center itself in sadar, nagpur. The attendant gave me a pllan with rental rs.199 and certain benefits like 600 mins free anywhere in india, 400 msgs free etc.
but when the 1st months bill came i wwas billed using a wrong plan . I called the representative regarding the same . He asked me to pay the bill and promised me that he will get it adjusted in the next bill and will rectify the plan. but the next bill overshot the credit limit due to the wrong plan they were using to charge me with. so they discontinued my services and asked me to pay around rs969.
I went to the center from where i purchased the no. they told me that the person who sold me the no. has left the company and that they knnw that they are at fault but at the same time they cannot do anything. He promised to call me in 4 days to solve the matter. The call never came. I called customer care to tell them. They again promised that in around 3-4 days a representative will get in touch and rectify my bill. again the call never came.
so i started using the services of another company. After about 2 months the reliance people started calling me asking me to pay the bill. i explained the situation. but again in every couple of days they used to call and ask me to pay. i had explain it to each one of them. so now they have started using new tactics. they are sending me messages threatening a legal action against me. They were lucky that i did not have time to sue them.
But never expected this level of insensitivity from anyone.
Now they have sent me another message from their own no. "after repeated follow up you have failed to pay rs.1567 . hence be present at pune court on 28/3/13"
first of all can some one ask someone to appear just by a message. am i not supposed to recieve a legal document?
they already have my security and the 150 rs. i paid them extra in the first bill.
what kind of a tactic is this .
can i charge them with mental harassment.
