This is to bring to your kind notice that I am having HCL Notebook.
Recently, I noticed that the Joint Portion at the back got widened. The Laptop cover was not coming down with ease and a breaking sound was coming every time when I was Opening or Shutting the Laptop Cover.

I called up your Customer Care and I was asked to visit one of your authorized Service Centre in Kolkata. On 07/02/2013, I went to one of your Authorized Service Centre named, “VIJAY ENTERPRISES” located at 25 Princep Street, Kolkata – 700072 [Invoice Attached]. According to them, Hinge has got broken and they charged me
Rs. 800 for repairing the same. They even promised to serve me free of cost if the same problem arises in 1 month’s time from the Date of Repair.

Surprisingly the same problem aroused within 1 month from the Date of Repair. On 07/03/2013, I went back to them to repair the same. To my utter surprise, I found that the address mentioned on Bill / Invoice is different from the Laptop Receiving Memo [Memo Attached], where it is mentioned as “LAPCURE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES” located as 25 Princep Street, Ground Floor, Kolkata – 700072.

On 13/03/2013, they called me and charged Rs. 750 more for repairing the same problem. When I went to their office to check the condition of my Laptop, I found that the defect has not been repaired at all. They pleaded for 2 more days to fix the defect. On 15/03/2013, when I took the delivery of my Laptop I found the following more defects have showed up:

1) Laptop Cover [LID] has become so loose that with a push the entire cover is coming down and moreover the Hinge portion, which according to them has been repaired, still shows an ugly picture.

2) The Lock has also been broken by them and I can’t lock my Laptop. They have broken the spring of it. When I confronted with them regarding the condition of my Laptop, I was abused badly by them and they even threatened me that they will sell my laptop under my nose and will retain the price of it.

THEY TOOK Rs. 800 FROM ME THEN ALSO WHY MY DEFECT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED? WHY HAVE THEY CREATED SO MANY OTHER DEFECTS IN MY LAPTOP?

Is this the kind of service we expect from a company like “HCL”?
Is this the kind of service you are rendering to your customers?

I want you to take step and repair my laptop because my Laptop has been damaged by your Authorized Service Centre people.

It won’t be possible for me to look for a new laptop now so help me get my Laptop in the condition it was in.
