Greetings for the Day Sir!I am Ragunath G discontinued Student of MBA DEPT of Sri Sairam EngineeringCollege. I have discontinued the course and applied for Refund due to my mothersHealth But I haven't Got not even 20% of Amount i paid Sir . Sri Sairam Engineering college has sent us cheque for Rs 10000(Tenthousand Rupees) only... Out of Rs45000 fees Paid Sir that too I havepressured them for more than 4 monthsi submitted Hand Written Letter on 9th Sep 2012,I couldnt approach the college directly.. There was a person named "Balu"and Lady under name special officer "They were speaking harsh and didntallowed to meet Principal" Since my college is located 320 KM from myresidenceEven Though AICTE says as follows they are Not followingAICTE s guidelines " The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), which regulatesengineering colleges, has issued an order under section 10 (n) of the AICTEAct stating that tuition fee must be refunded and originals returned when astudent leaves for another college.Write to AICTE, Sastri Bhavan, Chennai-6if it is an engineering college or a deemed university.The state has issued a GO No: 2729 (dt.17-12-1981 ),The secretary forhigher education issued a fresh GO to include self- financing,aided andgovernment professional and arts and science colleges. The GO shouldspecify that fees (except the registration fee) collected must be refundedif a student leaves the course, along with the original certificates. Andthat institutions can retain the fees if the student leaves 45 days afterthe college reopens.Publicity should be given to the order and institutions should be asked tomention this in the application form. This may empower the consumers andprevent exploitation of the ignorant. "* **Please help me in getting a difference amount sir i have tried tocontact office for past two days but they are always** Call us after Sometime-call us after Sometime..** **Esteemed Secratary Sir Said that he was well aware of Verdicts of AICTEbut he is not following Sir* The amount refunded was Too Low that is not even 1/2 of the amount that wehave paid. they are always QUOTING that the loss of a academic Seat thatremains vacant1. I paid Rs.45,000 & Total Fees is Rs 69,00 0(1 year fees)5. What period the course fee that you paid covers i.e. if you havepaid Rs.45,000/- is this for one year, two year of complete course? one year (1st year fees)6. Did you notify the institute that you are leaving the course and askedfor refund? Yes, But special officer and Director Spoke Harshly against mydad and said We cannot Refund your fees.--
