Complaint Details
I am attaching herewith 2 OPG of mine and one Xray .One OPG (File 002.jpg) was taken on January 18, 2013 before the treatment of Dr. Shalini Gupta and other two (File SAVITA GUPTA.jpg and close Xray File R1.jpg) were taken after the treatment of Dr. Shalini Gupta.I visited her for the first time on January 18, 2013 in her clinic at Cooperage- Lady Ratan Tata Centre to see whether there was any issue with my left side lower wisdom tooth. OPG taken (File 002.jpg) just before the treatment is attached herewith for your perusal. She told me that there was no issue with the wisdom tooth and it requires only peripheral filing. Simultaneously she opened the tooth no 37 (next to wisdom tooth) and worked on it. I visited her again on January 21, 2013 as I started having severe pain and was not able to chew from Left side after her work . She , instead of addressing the issue, worked on my upper 3 teeth on the same side without my knowledge. I got to know of the treatment only after she asked me for money after the treatment. I conveyed to her she should not have touched my other teeth without my knowledge and that I did not want to take any further treatment from her till the pain was gone in the lower region. She defended her action of working on the upper 3 teeth by saying that the pain was on account of those 3 teeth. Since I was in severe pain and was not getting any relief I visited another doctor. From the OPG (File SAVITA GUPTA.jpg and close x ray file R1.jpg) taken by another Doctor , it was known that she had put a post in tooth no 37. I consulted and showed the OPG to at least 4 doctors. All of them opined that she had put an extra-ordinary large metal post with a screw like structure. She had not put the post properly and the post had split the roots and fractured the tooth . Because of all these , the tooth no 37 had to be extracted. From subsequent examination, I understand that she had done a very shoddy job in the remaining 4 teeth as well and caused immense damage like the filling is fractured and is spilling to the gums, created large cavity which might lead to requirement of root kanal treatment in those teeth and further complications. The actions taken by her would have to be undone first before any decision on containing further damage could be taken. Doctors have advised to go slow as the extracted tooth area is very tender. Further I understand that she had reduced the size of the upper teeth, it would be difficult to provide support from the upper area to the area from where tooth had been extracted. etc. All this has caused immense mental and physical agony to me and damaged my teeth. I have been suffering for the past 2 months because of her actions. I am also being forced to spend sizable amount towards the treatment for undoing what she has done besides taking remedial measures for restoring the teeth.

I request you to take suitable action as warranted for her callous acts.. I also request you to make her provide against adequate compensation by way of refund of charges already paid to her , additional expenditure for treatment being incurred by me and compensation towards mental and physical agony suffered by me.
