Disgusted with the company’s inhuman attitude!
We ordered a cake from Choko la worth Rs.6000/- for a b’day in the family which was on holi but due to some personal crisis, the party had to be cancelled. Choko la was informed 2 days in advance about this but since we had already paid Rs.3000 in advance we didn’t expect refund but only a cash receipt so that we could pick up other stuff worth that amount later sometime.
After initially agreeing to this, some hrs later we get a revert from the company that they will not be able to do that since the decorations were already prepared. Since it seemed like a genuine issue, we agreed to pay for the decorations and get receipt for the rest of the amount but we are told that the decorations are worth the entire advance amount which was Rs.3000.
When we asked to see what was prepared, the attached picture is what we receive. For a cake Worth Rs.6000, they wanted us to believe these decorations are for Rs.3000?? After a lot of arguments they did not budge from it and handed over these decorations. We are anyways going through a crisis and this just added to the mental harassment.
It was not as if we enjoyed cancelling the order or had no intention to pay the company. It was a genuine issue which the company was absolutely inhuman to.
