Complaint Details
Based on the leaflet provided by Tatasky dealer - Pride-Tata Sky, I booked for a Dish Connection on 23/03/13. I paid an amount of Rs.1800.00 and the connection was provided to me the same evening. On perusal of all the channels offered to me in the leaflet and the actual ones found a total distorion. Most of the channels, especially, English News Channels which were shown in the leaflet provided to me were denied in the connection. On taking up the matter with service provider by email, I was told that the leaflet given to me is outdated and therefore no English News channels can be give. On repeated exchange of mails and telephone conversations, one person by name Shaista Anjum from Customer Care told me that he will provide this month the English News Channel as a special case. I told him to give in writing about this and then only I will be convinced. Instead of sending a written letter, I received a SMS today: "Request completed for Monthly English News, Rs. 30.00. Current a/c bal Rs. 35.16 Due date 22Apr 13". This amounts to cheating and unfair trade practice. Instead of making the correction of the mistake, I am now penalised to pay Rs. 30.00 per month over and above the normal subscription, which in fact, should have included all the English News Channels shown in the leaflet.
