My Brother-in-Law bought me this tablet as a gift. Its stopped working about 6 weeks ago when I updated it with their latest firmware as it was having poor cell reception. The tablet now would work only for a few moments or touches and then suddenly shut down without reason. I contacted them and received a called from their Customer service people. He had me reformat the tablet even when I told him that this was a hardware issue and not a software issue. Also, he told me to recharge the tablet for 8 hours before use. I did so accordingly and it still didnt work. Now they called me and told me to send the tablet to them and this would have cost me at least Rs 600 but I was ready to do so. The next day I noticed that the battery had swollen to 2-3 times its size and the back cover had popped open as a result. Even DHL people said they cant courier is because of the risk of fire it poses. I emailed them about it and then their CSE called up. She said that since the back cover was broken, it was a paid warranty. I told her that it was not broken and that it just popped up on its own. She said that no matter what - I had to pay Rs 1500 for the battery since the back cover was open. She wanted me to have some service center people to take out the battery and send the tablet to them. On the whole they want me to spend something around Rs 2500 to get this fixed even when its clear that they have given me a faulty product. I told them to refund the amount or at least replace the tablet. Since then there has been been no communication from their side. Hopefully you can help...
