Complaint Details
I have been cheated by Airtel DishTV and am being treated like a dog by

AIRTEL staff. Is this Airtel customer service after swallowing customer's

money???



I booked a digital TV connection on 21st March 2013 over my airtel mobile

phone and made payment of Rs.2,090 on the same day. I was committed free

packages of of regional channels as per my choice and 1 month free

subscription. In addition I was told I would be getting Naaptol coupons of

Rs.500 and another coupon of Rs.700. My connection was to be active within

48 hours as per Airtel representative. I HAVE GOT NOTHING TILL DATE.



My ordeal stated after 21ST March. I kept on calling Airtel help lines and

after a weeks repeated follow up(may be 50 calls on a land line as their

toll frees nos dont work ) dish and set top box was installed at my place

on 31st March. So much for 48 hrs service. The service was to be active in

30 minutes after installation and it is now more than 3 days and my TV set

is stil blank.



Again I made calls lasting for more than 45 minutes on 31st MArch, 1st

April, 2nd April but apart from false assurances no work is undertaken.



My calls are abruptly disconnected and I end up narrating my story again

and again to all these so called senior executives but nobody cares for a

customer who had paid upfront and is forced to beg. There is no face of

Airtel as calls are tranferred to different centres in India and you are

made to feel that Airtel is the one doing charity on you.



I work in a Japanese company where customer service is the the ultimate

goal. If customers issues are not resolved as per commitment all pending

matters are stopped till customer is not satisfied as per their

expectations. I do not see any such culture in Airtel. My money is taken by

them and it is now my concern that I run after them.



Does AIRTEL have any shame in ignoring its customers,I think you have grown

too big to have any more clients. The only way for you is to go down from

now onwards. If any one responsible person has some concern for its clients

you should apologise for the amount of pain that was unleashed by your team

on me by repeatedly speaking lies and lies.



I am forwarding this mail to all newspapers and consumer forums and social

networks so that my voice can be heard somewhere and people are educated.

Only Airtel cannot listen and does not want to listen to its clients. If

you are so inefficient please tell your staff to say the same at least we

all will be saved of this pain and frustration.
