I had taken a post paid connection from airtel i had taken a postpaid connection from Airtel (Number:
9650712200) on my name on 28th March 2013 after submission of required
documents and Rs 250. I was promised by Airtel ARC at Kamla Nagar that my number
will be activated within 24-48 hrs. The address verification was done on the
same day but my number has not been activated yet. Later on the customer care
told me to deposit the address proof in original which was issued by Ministry
of External Affairs. After that i have submitted my bank passbook as address
proof as the AIrtel office does not consider address proof/ allotment letter issued by a Gazetted
officer of ministry good enough. My number has not been activated yet.
Following are my request:

1. To activate my mobile number 9650712200 asap.
2. To enquire into that when my documents were not good enough then why did
The Airtel ARC issued me the number and charged Rs 250 which is a kind of economic
fraud.
3. I tried to file a complaint on Airtel website but it did not generate
any complaint number which is not as per the TRAI norms.
4. I have spoken to the customer care of Airtel many times but none of them told me the reason for non activation of my number and able to solve my problem.
5. I visited Airtel ARC repeatedly which was neither ready to refund my money nor
helping in activation of my number.

Apart from activating my number, I want to ensure the accountability for delay
in processing the number as well as to look into the cheating/ false promise by
Airtel ARC (as was in my case) to make sure that none of the future customers
are harassed as i was.
