Dear Sir,
This is regarding the service of the tata photon post paid connection no 8237278380. I had used this device at my home town during my vacations in December 2013. I have been using photon devices since more than past 2.5 years however this was the first time for me when I came to know that my device which I recently purchased was running on roaming and I was being charged as per roaming charges. However my experience with the device during this time was very poor and I was unable to upload even a single photo using it. Later the device was disabled after 12th December 2012 and I came to know from Docomo CC that the credit limit on my device got exhausted for this cycle and I need to wait until the next cycle starts(23rd Dec) when the credit limit will be reset back to zero and my device will be re-enabled. However this never happened and my device remain disabled even after 23rd Dec. When I again called the CC this time the executive informed that I need to clear the existing due bill, for the device to get re-enabled which was contradictory to what the other executive had told earlier. This was very frustrating. Firstly I was not informed that my device was running on roaming, secondly the device was running extremely poor during the entire period and thirdly the responses of the CC executives ware totally contradictory.
Later I raised my concerns with Tata Docomo through their Grievances channel but what I got from them was explanations why I should make the payments. My bill plan is only of Rs. 1200, then my question is why I should pay Rs. 4651 that too for a very poor service and without my knowledge. I was never informed that my device was running in roaming or roaming charges are applicable on my device. My device was disabled 10 days before my billing cycle completes, and still they charged me for the whole month charges of Rs. 1200 + the roaming charges. This is a case of misinformed and unfair means of earning from the customer where I was kept uninformed about the hidden charges and plans and premature billing. Later when I told them that I can only pay the monthly rental, I started receiving few calls from the recovery department of Tata Docomo in threatening voices. The whole episode has created a totally negative impression about Tata Docomo in me and I want everyone to know how unfairly some companies charge their customers and use unfair means to extract money from them. Today I received a call from the legal department of Tata Docomo telling me to make payment of Rs. 4651-1000 to close the issue, else they will take the issue to civil court, but my question is on what basis they are reaching to this amount and asking me to make the payments? The whole episode has created an unrest and uneasiness in me where I used to get calls from Tata Docomo regarding bill payment for tha past 4 months and I want an apology from tata Docomo for the whole issue and relief to me for the harassments.
