Complaint Details
1. I am vishwamitra mahapatra W/O Major Ashwin Yakkundi, Indian Army, posted in 16 Corps Engineering Signal Regiment, C/O 56 APO which is located in Jammu, J&K state. Being in J&K state, my husband posted in field area and involved in Counter Insurgency Operation. My husband presently attending a Training Course for the same for 4 months near Indore, MP till Apr 2013. My present address is :-

2. I am writing this letter to file a complaint against a transport operator, whom I had hired to transport my house hold goods from Nabarangpur, Odisha to Jammu, J&K. I am resident of Nabarangpur, Orissa. On 17 Dec 2012, we had hired the services of Safe Express Movers and Packers Pvt Ltd, Plot No 843, NH-5, Palasuni, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneshwar to transport our household goods from Nabarangpur to Jammu. Mr Sandeep Sharma, mobile no 9337633999 was interacting with us on behalf of the company.

3. Since the transport company is from Bhubaneshwar, the persons came to pick ur luggage from Bhubaneshwar. Accordingly the luggage was transported registration No OR-02 AN 9298. Mr Sonu Sharma and Mr Azad had come to collect the luggage. They were supposed to take the luggage from Nabarangpur to Bhubaneshwar and then further to Jammu in a different truck. The time they gave us to deliver the goods was maximum 10 days, hence it was to be delivered in Jammu latest by 31 Dec 2012.

4. Since then we have been calling all representatives of the company for delivery. Initially they were responding to our calls and informed us that they will deliver the goods in next 15 days or so. However, they kept on delaying the delivery of the goods. We had approached Rasulgarh Police Station to check the office premises as mentioned in their bill. However, the office was found to be closed permanently as per the Police. The present status is that the goods are not delivered and all the contact numbers have found to be switched off. My assessment is that the goods have been stolen by these individuals.

5. My uncle had lodged a FIR Regn No 628 dated 30 Jan 2013 with Orissa Nabarangpur Police Station, however subsequently the police said that the Regn No 628 given to us was not a FIR No, but it was just a Dairy no. Based on that complaint, Nabarangpur police did not take any action for more than two months even after repeated interactions with them. My uncle again lodged a complaint based on which the Nabarangpur police gave us a new FIR no 52 Dated 07/03/2013 . However, till now, police has not yet taken any action on the matter. We on our side have been trying our best to extract information about Sandeep Sharma. We had filed an online complaint with Consumer Forum. We got information on Permanent Address of Sandeep Sharma from a internet user. Sandeep Sharma belongs to Rajasthan and we have handed over this address to Nabarangpur Police and requested them to take some action on this information. The details of the Transport Company, their address and contact numbers are mentioned in the enclosures attached to this letter. The copy of the bill with the details of the luggage is also enclosed.

6. It is learnt that Sandeep Sharma along with his brother has been doing one fraud after another. For every fraud they are having different name for their transport company. There are numerous examples of frauds committed by these two persons available on internet.

8. Since I am posted in Jammu and presently undergoing a course in Indore, I am not able to visit Bhubaneshwar and pursue the matter. May I request you to look into this matter and help me in recovering my house hold goods and also to take action against these individuals who I believe have either misplaced or stolen my house hold goods?
