Complaint Details
My name is Prateek Khandelwal and I am the user of Nokia C3 mobile handset. I have bought this handset in Dec 2010. I was pretty happy with the phone until one unfortunate day when I had to call emergency number 100 and I could not call that from my mobile. I thought there was some problem with Airtel connection which I have. I registered complaint there, but they told me to use the same sim in another handset and try to call and I could make a call. They finally told me that there is some problem with the Nokia C3 handset. When I went to your Nokia Care, I have been told that phone is not under warranty and Rs 350 will be charged for software updation. Now, my only concern is I have not asked you people about any software problem, any problem with the phone feature. I am talking about basic thing which everyone should get and must get as per government guidelines just like no network can charge me for calling 100. Your people there at Nokia Care Mr Gurvinder Singh and Mr. Praveen Kumar have told their inability to reverse the charge and just sticking to that PHONE IS NOT IN WARRANTY. But my only concern is that it has not been told to me that someone will have to pay Rs 350 to make Emergency Call if you buy any Nokia Phone.. Bottom line, If you can’t reverse the charges, then please add this point in your feature written over the box and index inside…that you are required to pay so and so charges to make calls….like Rs 350 for emergency calls, and one day Rs 500 for outside india, 100 for Kolkata, and so… I would appreciate if I could get the appropriate answer and feedback along with reversal. My phone at the Service Center has got Job Sheet Number 113433527/130314/42 which is signed by me stating Problem still persisting and nothing has been done, but money has been charged.

Now adding to my problems, I have got my phone back today after 7 days and still the problem persisting and I have even paid Rs 350/- and more amusingly nobody(including Mr. Dev, Mr. Praveen at Nokia Care at Tilaknagar) is willing to tell me next level of authority to complaint, like nodal officer, etc. This is after I got four to five calls from their outlet today only that my phone is ready and problem is resolved (how cheat they are). Even I have got a call from Nokia India and a person their gave me silly examples like going to doctor and he will ultimately charge you even if you’re well. I just want to tell him at least we will not let me to take a specific medication for every problem. This is what these people have done. IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE PAID MONEY, SUFFERED A LOSS AND STILL USING THE SAME HANDSET WITH SAME PROBLEM. NOKIA HAS GOT THE WORST CUSTOMER CARE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED WITH AND THEIR WEBSITE ALSO DOESN’T TELL ANYTHING ABOUT COMPLAINING TO NEXT LEVEL, THE PEOPLE AT NOKIA CARE CONSIDER THEMSELVES GOD AND NOBODY CAN DENY GOD AS WE ALL KNOW.
