with due respect, i would like to draw your attention about my problem of over charged bill generated by Bharti Airtel Ltd. .
I purchased a new postpaid connection of airtel telecom on somewhere around 27th april 2012. My Postpaid connection number was 965062453. And I was on monthly rental plan of Rs 349 in which i got 500 local mins + 500 local airtel to airtel night minutes + 200 local and national sms + 250 MB of 3G data free for every month. I paid my due charges before the due date every month. there wasn't any problem. Then i Bought a new nokia mobile with which i got free 2GB 3G data free for first four month on any airtel connection. so when i started using my airtel postpaid connection with my new mobile they automatically started that 2GB 3G data automatically from 27th of june 2012. and they automatically discontinue my free 250MB 3G data service automatically. but then when i called customer care they said that only one 3G data service can be activated at a time on a connection and assured me that my 250MB 3G data service(which was included in my monthly rental plan) will be activated automatically once the current service of 2GB 3G data for four months(which i got because of my new mobile) gets expired. and asked me not to worry. nothing wrong happened between 27th june to 27th of september. and i paid every bill till the month of october. then my service of 2GB 3G data expired on 27th october and i didn't received any notification. so there was no way by which i would have knew that the 2GB 3G data has been expired. my bill period was from 8th of a month to the 7th of next month. but then when the i received my bill for the month of october on 10th november, they shocked me. because they had charged me for the use of 3G data after 27th of october till 7th november. but i never exceeded my limit of 250MB. i used less than 250 MB of 3G + 2G data combined for the period of october. now according to that customer care executive that i talked to earlier, the 250MB 3G data service which was already in my Rs 349 rental plan, would have been activated automatically from the start of 28th october.
moreover if they had notified me that i would have to activate that service again then only i would have done so. but i didn't received any notification. then after receiving my bill i called customer care and i experienced a very rude behavior from them. i had to call them for about 10 times, but each time, every customer care executive said that they don't know about this situation so i asked to forward my call to their supervisor. and then every executive just put my call on hold and then my call got disconnected automatically after few minutes of waiting. after trying for 10-13 times i finally got to talk to one of their supervisor and he did the same. so i kept calling them and then finally another superior talked to me and said that its my fault. i said that i am a student so i can't pay more then Rs500. she said its my fault and they can't help me with this. so i said that i won't be paying them this much money for the benefits that i already gets with my monthly rental plan, for which they charged me for no reason. so finally i requested them to disconnect my connection. and they did registered my complaint. after 14th of november i stopped using my connection and at around 17th of november they disconnected my connection. but they didn't stopped charging me till the date. they are still charging me with every month rent with previous charges. and i got to know about this when i received a legal notice from them today. please help me with this. i can't pay them for this much, which they have charged me for no reason. they should have notified me that my four month 2GB 3G service have been deactivated an i have to activate my previous service on my own. plus their rude customer care behavior annoyed me alot.
i am attaching few months bill showing that i was getting 250MB of 3G data with my Rs 349 monthly rental plan. and one showing that i was getting 2GB 3G data for four months. and then finally one showing that they charged me after getting my connection disconnected. i will be very grateful to you. please help me with this.
