Complaint Details
I contacted the customer care of Agarwal Packers and Movers to shift my house hold goods from Ghaziabad (UP) to Indore (MP). As a result Mr. Sombir Singh visited my house to make a survey and offered following quotes:
1. Part Delivery – in which the goods will be loaded and unloaded multiple times and transported in a sharing container, Delivery Time - 3 Days and charges Rs.20000/- + Service Tax + Insurance
2. Direct Delivery – in which the goods will be loaded at door and directly transported to the destination in the same truck Delivery Time 5 Days and Charges Rs35000/- + Service Tax + Insurance
As I had urgency due to commencement of the new session of school of my daughters at Indore, I opted for the 2nd option. Even when the packers came to my house for packing I reconfirmed with Mr. Sombir Singh that the truck will directly go to Indore and will take around 3 days. Subsequently, my goods were loaded on April 1, 2013 and I locked the Truck after loading of my goods. Despite all my goods were delivered on April 7, 2013.
I had a horrible experience and following disappointments with the services of Agarwal Packers and Movers:
1. There was no information provided by the office of Agarwal Packers and Movers. When I called on 09391773525 the person on the other side of the phone initially asked to revert in half an hour but never did so, on giving the reference of my repeated call they used to say “Kal Pahunch Jayega” and the same sentence continued for six days.
2. After Seven Days, the goods reached in a very poor shape wherein the packages were torrned goods were damaged.
3. On mentioning the terms of contract your representative started saying this is how we do every day. If you wish you get the truck unloaded or else I will take it back.
4. After repeated e-mails to Mr. Mukesh Agarwal, only five items were repaired with patches and marks for other damaged and the lost items there has been no response.

In this regard I request for clarification/compensation of the following:

A) When the contract for full truck load and direct delivery was made and payment was made for the same why did the lock was broken, goods were shifted to other trucks, mishandled and damaged?
B) Compensation for the mental agony my whole family went through on account of delay in delivery for four days and no clear information being provided day after day.
C) Compensation for the loss of study of my daughters.
D) Compensation for the expenses on account of my stay for four days in Indore waiting for the goods to arrive.
E) Compensation for the damage of goods for which your company has charged the insurance premium @3% of the goods value.
I look forward to resolution of the matter at earliest possible.
