Hi,
This is to bring to your notice a complaint on land line - 040-40130673 wth Bharti Airtel.

On 19th Nov 2012 I called the Airtel customer care to disconnect the line as I
was shifting to a new house. The agent informed me that I have an option of
safe custody where I can hold the connection and call back when my new house is
ready. She took the address of the new house and said I would be charged Rs500
for this service. I paid for the service in the next months billing cycle
hoping to get the same number after I shift.

I Airtel customer care back your in April 2013 to activate the connection
and shift it to my new house. I was told that Airtel can not provide this
service as you have no connectivity in this area. I immediately told
them disconnect the line however, I again received a new bill in April with a
balance to Rs 1085 for a connection that is not supposed to exist.

I spoke to several customer service agents including 2 supervisors; Vinay, Arun
Kumar , Suresh ( Supervisor). I finally spoke to Kameshwari P (manager) and
explained the issue and she gave me a complaint number (32080672)and said that
the concerned department will call me and resolve the matter. I also sent a corporate complaint to their corporate ID (appellate.southabts@in.airtel.com) on 29th April explaining the issue
informing them that i am disputing the balance and I would expect them to take the
necessary steps to resolve this issue. I would expect them to reverse all the
charges that Airtel has levied on my account after 19th Nov and also refund Rs 500
that they have charged me for a service that they did not provide.
I received a response from Ruchi on 1st May that they will not reverse any charges and that I need to pay the balance. I responded to them that I am disputing the complete balance and then looked up for help on internet.
I found your website and I am lodging a compliant on your website with a hope of getting help as this is violation of fair business practices.
