Complaint Details
I had once applied for 3G data pack to be activated on my Vodafone number. Subsequent bills had the same charges continued. When enquired, they informed that only based on your request the plan had been activated. But no one informed me that it would be charged month on month and that it was my duty to read the plan details carefully. I agree It had been my mistake to have activated the plan without any prior knowledge about the same. But then I paid the amount and subsequently asked them to deactivate the data pack. Now, recently I had activated internet plan on another number and used that on my dual sim mobile phone. Now, I had configured the BSNL sim for data usage and Vodafone sim for calls and text messages. But the vodafone sim had been used for data download. I was using internet thinking that BSNL sim was being used as the Vodafone data pack has been disabled. Now, Vodafone argues that the pack that I de-activated was 3G and the 2G pack still remains active and that I should have explicitly requested blockage of 2G services. They had earlier used this as a weapon against me once. Now, they are using the same yet again. They should have explicitly mentioned about this during plan activation that the plan remains active until otherwise informed. Also, they should have informed that they are de-activating only the 3G plan and not the 2G plan. If they had done that I would have been aware of that and used the services appropriately and with caution. Now, they are coercing me into paying the incorrect bill failing which my connection would be disconnected. I do not want that. I have tried support innumerable times with incorrect and inappropriate results each time. I have incurred a lot of time and money loss(even more than the incorrect bills) and not to mention the amount of physical and mental stress. I would request the authority to look into this and act on this as soon as possible.
