Complaint Details
I was supposed to travel to Ahmedabad on 17-06-2013 by 6E166 at 7:10am. I was at the Indigo counter at 6:15 am and was granted the boarding pass at 6:22am (as per Indigo) which is well within the stipulated 45 minutes; yet I was not allowed to board the flight when I reached the Gate 17. I have been a frequent flyer with Indigo and have travelled frequently on this sector at the same time over the past 3.5 yrs; yet 17th June was an unpleasant and traumatic experience with Indigo. I was compelled to shell out an additional Rs 3,400 for rescheduling my flight apart from the loss of wages for a day and the taxi fare to and from residence for no fault of mine. It is the responsibility of Indigo to have escorted me to the Gate 17 after seeing the eronomously large queue on 17th June; there was also no visible attempt from Indigo to trace me out even though I was in the queue all along (you may check the video footage of that hour). The Indigo officials blatently stated that it was not their responsibility to escort the passenger between the Main Counter and the boarding gate. For this issue I approached the GMR officials at the Airport who clearly stated that it was the responsibility of the airlines to escort the passenger. I have been wronged by Indigo and seek an immediate redressal of my grevience.
