Complaint Details
I had booked Ubislate+, a tablet computer with Datawind Amritsar vide booking No. Ubislate7+ booking ID PME6C5B and had sent a cheque (No. 173866) dated 19.3.2012 amounting to Rs 2999/- which was acknowledged by Datawind vide their e-mail dated May 8, 2012. After that on every reminder they gave an assurance which was never fulfilled. Last luring assurance was given on September 29, 2012 stating that the improved device will be sent within 72 hours without extra charges provided I agree to pay an amount of Rs. 500//- on delivery. I agreed to that too, but even after passing several 72 hours the device has not been sent to me. Neither any reply has come to me, despite several e-mail reminders sent by me. In September I had mentioned that I had asked for the device to gift to a needy college going poor girl still no reply after that. I am a senior citizen feeling harassed and cheated by Datawind people. I presume they have accepted similar amount from lakhs of people ( as seen on internet). I pray your organisation to take some action to get the issue resolved. If the company was not able to fulfill the supply why they took so many orders and now giving false assurances. I shall be grateful for a reply.
