I had activated International roaming(IR) on my mobile No.9004173210 for the period from 25 Jan 2013 to 29 Jan 2013 alongwith Voice pack of Rs.500/-for the IR calls. In the month of Feb 2013, bill of Rs.11297/- was received in which IR amount was Rs.8765/- for the period from 25 Jan 2013 to 29 Jan 2013. This bill of Rs.11297/- was paid in full inspite of not getting details of utilisation of the voice pack of Rs.500/-. Thereafter in the month of April 2013 a bill of Rs.7629/- was received in which IR amount is Rs.6890/-. This bill of Rs.6890/- was for the same period 25 Jan 2013 to 29 Jan 2013 and in both the bills the service provider for IR was Etisalat.
My question to Airtel was on the very high bills for IR and also why the second bill of Rs.6890/- was billed in the month of Apr 2013 when the period of IR bills in the first and second bill was from 25 Jan 2013 to 29 Jan 2013. Also the service provider at the international destination was the same. In the meantime I paid an amount of Rs.2000/- as adhoc payment till I get the required clarification from Airtel.
I have not got any satisfactory response from Airtel than telling me that the bill is valid and I have to make the payment. In the meantime I have been paying monthly rentals as per bill except for the disputed amount of Rs.5629/- I have been with Airtel as a corporate member in CUG scheme of HCL Infosystems Ltd for the past 30 months and it can be seen from the record that I have not defaulted in payment till date exceot for the second bill of IR which is not correct bill. Inspite of all these and assurances from Managers in Airtel my mobile phone was disconnected on three times and every time it took almost a week to 10 days for the service to be restored. Inspite of providing service for a period less than a month, bill from Airtel has been charging me for the entire period of the month. During this period when my mobile was disconnected, all my official work as well as personal work got affected. I work as Project Director with HCL Infosystems Ltd and this lapse from Airtel in providing service to me has badly affected my work leading to loss of business to me as well to my organisation.
