I had bought an exide home ups 850 VA and TT battery IT 500 (150AH) from Bright Electronics, Chennai.
On 1st August 2013, night around 9 pm the power went off. We expected the inverter will support with back up as it was doing. To our dismay, the inverter started making noise, and back up power didn't got switched on.
This was raised as a complaint with your Toll free number with complaint no.SQE005870 - SPIN 00 00 8688. on 2nd Aug 2013 at 9 am. It was assured that the service personnel will visit and ensure rectification of the system today itself. However, no one turned to attend to the fault until now 10 pm!.
As you are aware, we buy inverters to support us during power cuts and your system, which was projected as the best in market, when sold, does not delivered the expected support. It is a TOTAL FAILURE on the part of the system and THERE WAS NO SUPPORT FROM THE SERVICE TEAM.
You must be aware and appreciate that Chennai and suburbs are reeling under sever power cuts and it is imminent that inverters bought are to server the purpose!.
I have aged parents at home and that is the prime reason for installing an inverter.
Inspite of my making complaint at 9 am today, it is surprising that no response from a reputed concern like Exide, paves doubts in my mind on the quality of the product and service. Should i understand that an used inverter has been repacked and sent ? Please clarify!
I spoke to the dealer earlier today at 10 am and requested him to ensure and put the system back in full working condition. He has assured that it will be taken care before close of today. However, nobody turned up. Again when i contacted now @ 10 pm, he informed that the system can be attended only tomorrow, 3rd Aug 13 only.
Please note that any fault that occurs to the inverter and cost towards that if any, will have to borne by you only as it is a new system and within warranty.
If the inverter is not rectified to my satisfaction, i will expect you to replace a new inverter and battery with the same configuration.
Please treat this as my formal and official communication and ensure that the fault is attended immediately - as assured on 3rd Aug 2013, failing which i shall be proceeding legally against you and the dealer who supplied me the system.
Awaiting your acknowledgement for this communication and prompt service back on 3 AUGUST 2013.
