Complaint Details
I had bought a Karbonn Cosmic ST-10 tablet in Jan, '13 and in May, '13 I discovered issues with the display. I promptly took it to a dedicated Karbonn service center - "M/s Padmavathi Telecoms" - as displayed on the "Support Services" page of the Karbonn official website. Here, I was told that the display would need to be replaced but as it was purchased online, a special approval would first be needed from the Karbonn head-office. A week later I was told that the approval has been received but a new display unit was pending. With false promise being made every time I called that it would be repaired within another couple of days, they made me wait for more than a month. When I got impatient I was finally told to take it to a different service center in Jalahalli, Bangalore named "M/s Telelogic Communication", which is also listed on the Karbonn "Support Services" online page. This service center apparently deals specifically with online purchases. For the first 2weeks at this service center, every day when I called I was asked to call in the evening and in the evening they tell me to collect it the next day... and the next day, same false promises continued. Being fed up eventually, I visited the service center again and after creating much noise I was promised a full device replacement owing to unavailability of spare parts. A further 3weeks have passed since and the problem is still not resolved. I have written 8 emails to the Karbonn complaint/support center but that hasn't helped either as they are being vague too. Not having used my tablet for the last 2 and a half months, having made hundreds of calls to the service centers, and still not getting the required service for a product still under warranty I'm now considering approaching consumer court.
Please assist.
