Complaint Details
My complaint is against Micromax company for the poor after sale services and unsatisfactory customer support. Details are as mentioned below.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I purchased a new micromax canvas hd A-116 from J Star collection, Fort, Mumbai on the 16th of Apr 2013. On 17th of Jun 2013 the phone started giving a warning of thermal heating and subsequently was switching off. The phone was handed over to the above mentioned shopkeeper to be handed over to local authorised service center for necessasry repairs. The phone was twice serviced for suspected software issues and finally on 3rd of Jun it was officially registered for repairs under work order no
WO 30574-0713-4339168 and was subsequently sent to Head office/repair center New Delhi.
The whereabouts of the phone has not been known since then. I sent my persons and also called up the local authorised service center (Sai Electronics, Mumbai) but the only response I got was that my case is pending and when the phone arrives they will inform me on phone.
I then called up micromax helpline no 01144770044 on 31st Jul 13 and was informed that the spares are awaited and my phone will be repaired in 10 days or so. Complaint no was given to me (MMX 3107133202).
Then a few local dealers and heads offered to help me. ( Mr Kailash and Mr Jain Mishra of Micromax Mumbai). I gave all the details, copies of bill, work order etc. But even they didnt respond back inspite of constant communication.
I constantly tried to call micromax helpline on the above said number provided by micromax dealer but couldnt get any tone. On 23rd Aug 13, I tried another toll free number 18605008286 which connected and this time I was told that in next 7 days i would receive the product in my hands.
Today on the 30th of Aug 13 again i tried to call the toll free number but didnt get ant tone. So i tried from my alternate number and surprisingly i got connected which makes me presume that my phone number was blocked by helpline. Now finally i am told that it might take another 10-15 days for the phone to be repaired. Complaint no MMX 3008131797.
The phone has been lying in service center Delhi for almost two months now and no positive response has come from micromax.
In view of the above, I request you to help me resolve my issue at the earliest. If possible I request you to help me get refund of my billed amount of the phone since I have no faith on the company and its services.
