It was in the month of Aug 2010 that i purchased a multi tv connection. At that point i was told that i am a loyal customer and hence, the installation and /or visiting charges are waived off for me. However, to my surprises, during shifting of location in May 2013, i was charged INR 500 as the charges, despite my clarifications on customer care support. During one of the conversations, which can also be proved via call recording, one of the executive also agreed that charges are waived. But still i was charged this amount.
Moreover, today i registered a complaint for STB not functioning. Again, i had the debate that the visiting charges are waived, but executives did not agree. What frustrated was when the serviceman said that the STB needs to be replaced and warranty was 03 months.for new device. On connecting me with one of his colleagues at service centre, she said that the warranty is only 01 months. I said for old STB it was 01 year and your serviceman just now mentioned 03 months for new and now you have reduced to 01 months. To this she did not have much clarification, just mentioned it is as per company policy. But also added that in case STB does not function after the warranty period, i need to shell out money again for replacement. Above all, they did not provide any receipt for the replacement, despite my insistence. For this i was charged INR 500 (including service charges).
My concerns are:
1. I be refunded all the visiting and/or other charges except replacement charges.
2. I be given a receipt for the replacement of STB.
3. The warranty period either be extended to 01 year, else i should not be charged for STB not functioning in future. This is complete harassment of customers and money shelling activity of the company.
